Charles Dickens' Dinner at the Orchard Inn

You are invited to join fellow KNN Arts & Adventurers for our 2022 holiday season event at the Orchard Inn in Saluda. The Dickens' Dinner is a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.
Our group will enjoy a fabulous multiple-course dinner with readings from Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" in between courses. Following dinner, we will end our evening enjoying a Smoking Bishop beverage in candlelight by a roaring fire.
This event includes roundtrip bus transportation from the Kenmure Country Club lower parking lot. Be sure to sign up quickly for this festive holiday event as space is limited.
Details about this event:
- Sunday December 4, 2022.
- Limited to 28 KNN member participants, and 4 A&A event coordinators.
- Orchard Inn, Saluda, NC
- Jackets are suggested for gentlemen
- Gather in the Kenmure Country Club lower parking lot approximately 5:20 PM
- Depart Kenmure at 5:30 PM on the Trolley Company's Krystal Coach
- Arrive the Orchard Inn approximately 6:00 PM, in time to get settled and enjoy a pre-dinner beverage should you choose to.
- Note: drinks will be a separate charge and paid on each participants own account. Wine and beer are available, in addition to non-alcoholic beverages
- Dinner starts promptly at 6:30 PM
- The Orchard Inn is still developing this year's multiple course dinner. This year's menu is promised to be as fabulous as prior years' menus. - Depart Orchard Inn at approximately 9:30 PM
- Arrive back in Kenmure at approximately 10:00 PM
In order to participate in this event, you are expected to utilize the bus.
Event Costs:
- Per person cost for multiple-course dinner, after-dinner smoking bishop beverage and bus is $130, inclusive of taxes and gratuities
- Costs for drinks will be paid separately by each participant.
Payment requirements: Pre-payment is required to reserve your space. Once you have completed the on-line registration for the event, you will receive a "registration received pending pre-payment" email from the KNN email system. Please follow the pre-payment instructions in that email including submitting the pre-payment by the due date to assure your space is confirmed.
Please do not drop your envelope at the Front Gate as due to COVID concerns, traffic volume and staffing shortages, the KPOA has stopped accepting drop-offs at the Front Gate House
Participant Cancellation policy: The Orchard Inn has a cancellation policy with a cancellation fee of $30 should you cancel less than 14 days in advance. For this event, KNN will apply the following cancellation policy to our participants:
- Cancellations 14 days or more before the event (e.g., by November 20) will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations received 13 or less days before the event (e.g., November 21 or after) will not be refunded unless a person on the waitlist agrees to take the space made available by the cancellation.
You are encouraged to sign-up early. Available space for Arts & Adventures events usually fills up fast.
Participation limit for this event is 28. Please note that the KNN system will show 14 registration spaces available as each registration can be for up to 2 persons.
Note: space for 4 Arts & Adventures Event Coordinators has already been reserved in addition for a total of 32 participants.
KNN members will be prioritized first before we open this event up to guests.
Once participation limits are reached, we will utilize a waitlist for the event.
Registration closes November 14.
